A West Point graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, John’s military background as a U.S. Army Captain and Ranger instilled a disciplined, strategic mindset that has propelled his business success. Coach Bob Knight recruited him to play basketball at West Point, starting for him, before Knight went to IU. After transitioning from the military, John honed his skills at Procter & Gamble, where he excelled in manufacturing, marketing, advertising, sales, and business development—building a foundational understanding of what it takes to lead world-class brand initiatives.

John’s corporate career includes leadership roles at renowned organizations such as Cole's Quality Foods and Totes Isotoner, where he oversaw groundbreaking product launches and growth strategies. At Cole's, John spearheaded the most successful product launches in the company’s history. At Totes Isotoner, he was the driving force behind the introduction of Chromatics Rainwear to mass retail channels, tapping into untapped markets with precision and creativity.

Through John O’Maley & Associates, he has successfully launched over 200 product lines with the help of a seasoned network of sales executives (brokers) sourced from Fortune 500 companies. His mastery of national account management, paired with his ability to create compelling, data-driven presentations, has solidified his reputation as a trusted thought leader in the industry. He successfully led clients at 300 ECRM’s, has consulted for 300 companies and racked up 4 million Delta miles flying the country building clients’ businesses profitably.

John is also a Deacon in the Catholic Church. His passion for service extends beyond business, reflecting his belief that making a difference matters both in and outside the workplace. Married for 50 years to his high school sweetheart, Joy, and blessed with 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren, all living nearby.
