John O'Maley, President, CEO and Founder of John O'Maley and Associates, has had a varied and full background, succeeding in many different areas.
The West Point Experience, Duty . . . Honor . . . Country
West Point: John O'Maley graduated from the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York. While at the Academy, he had the opportunity to play intercollegiate varsity basketball for Coach Bob Knight who later became the Indiana University basketball coach. John lettered all four years at the Academy. West Point's primary mission is to produce leaders.
He also sang in the West Point Glee Club. To the right is a picture of John singing a solo on the Mike Douglas Show.
John successfully launched new products to the mass trade channel, consisting of drug, mass merchandisers and supermarket chains as well as drug wholesalers, club stores, convenient stores, hardware/home centers, health food trade, sporting goods chains, office supply chains, dollar stores, automotive aftermarket chains, truck stops, military and specialty accounts such as GNC, QVC, Home Shopping Network, AARP, and Sears and Penneys. John has also sold successfully in Canada.

U.S. Army: John spent five years in the Army rising to the rank of Captain.
His last military assignment was an Armored Tank Company Commander,
in charge of 100 men and $150 million worth of equipment.
John was also Airborne and Ranger qualified.

Procter and Gamble (P&G): John then joined "The Real Army" as he went
to work for P&G Manufacturing. He was soon promoted to brand
management and had extensive sales training there as well. P&G was John's
business school training and transition from the military. John's leadership
training at West Point and the Army would serve him well in the business world.

VP Marketing and Sales: John left P&G and had several successful assignments launching new products with a broad range of manufacturers. He successfully launched products into the following categories: first aid, shampoo, skin care, nail care, vitamins, herbal supplements, homeopathy, feminine hygiene, baby, suncare, videotapes, sporting goods, household chemicals, housewares, hardware, automotive, and other general merchandise. In each company, John assumed the leadership role of VP of Marketing and Sales.

National Sales Force: While successfully launching new products, John was able to cultivate a truly outstanding national sales force consisting of 21 key account sales executives. John has worked with these companies from 5 to 15 years and has established an incredible rapport as well as an effective and efficient working relationship.
